York Prep works with students to foster a sense of community, with an approach to education that is unique and inclusive. York promotes the growth of students from grades 6 to 12 academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We care about the whole student.

York Prep is a community of excited learners and compassionate educators thriving amongst intellectual, economic, and ethnic diversity. Almost all of the individuals in York’s administration teach a course as well. This gives students the opportunity to interact with everyone from the Headmaster to the Principal, while learning subjects including Ethics and History. York teachers encourage hands-on learning complete with an evolving open dialogue.

No two students come in or leave exactly the same. The fact that every student from York goes to college, and that so many get into their top choice schools are results of our approach to individualized education.

We are dedicated to making sure that these years are a segment of time that our students treasure for the rest of their lives. Our alumni love to visit their old mentors and stay in touch with the friends they first met in our halls.
